  • How do I use my germination kit?

Your kit contains  3 reusable trays (25 x 25 cm)  which fit together. 1 draining tray and 2 trays without holes, as well as 4 small 115 x 80 mm recycled PS trays that fit on a tray.

Thecultivation mats are single use. They are made from hemp fibers100% compostable.

Your kit containsdeux tapis  25 x 25 cm (pour 2 cycles de semis) et 12 tapis 113 x 75 mm ( for 3 cycles of semis). That is 5 seeds in total (about 1 kg of fresh microgreens)

    Germination process:

    1. Place the gray draining tray (with holes) or the 4 small trays  on a  black tray without holes

    2. Déposer un tapis 23 x 23 cm sur votre plateau gris drainant ou 4_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_tapis 113x75mm in small trays

    3. Wet the carpets using a sprayer so that they are well dampened

4.Sow your seeds on the wet carpet(s) by sowingdense and on the flyso as to obtain ahomogeneous sowing, spray.

5.Cover your  seedling tray with the second  black tray without holes  to create   conditions of darkness that will allow the seeds to germinate (5-6 days).

NB: Mist your seedlings daily, making sure to keep the mats and seeds moist throughout the germination process

Ensure good germination conditions(ambient temperature 18 at 20 degrees, darkness, humidity)

As the seeds begin to germinate many "threads" will form. It's normal; they are root hairs emanating from the roots of the seeds.Spray them daily (1 to 2 times a day).

    Culturing

The stage ofgermination ends when the majority (90-100%) of the seeds have germinated, that is to say that they produced a root and a stem departure. It's time for theexpose to a light source (on a window sill, a balcony, in the sun or under bright neon lights or LEDs).

Depending on the light level, thegrowth can last 3-10 days.

Be sure to keep the mats moistduring this period inirrigating the tanks. For this you just need topour water into the black retention tray so that the mats absorb moisture from below. At this point you no longer need to spray them.

When the plants reach 5-8cm you can start cutting them with a scissor or a sharp knife to consume them au as you need them.

If you cultivate on small carpets (123 x 75 mm) we advise you toplace in small trays (125 x 80 mm). This will allow you to grow several varieties on a tray at the same time.

The culture material that we offer as well as the process are fun and will allow you to learn about the culture of these super-foods  at home with ease.

Perfect to do with kids who love microgreens!
